FRONTWAVE™ Directional System

What is FRONTWAVE™?
FRONTWAVE™ is a directional signal processor that combines the outputs of two omnidirectional microphones to create a directional response, thereby reducing interfering background noise.

What's the benefit?
The most common complaint from hearing aid users is difficulty listening with background noise. With a FRONTWAVE™ enhanced hearing aid, conversations in noise will become easier to understand.

How does it work?
In simple terms, directional hearing systems decrease the intensity of sounds coming from the rear making it easier to focus on the desired sounds up front.
